Overview of basic policies and guidelines for the use of social media

The Facebook page, Instagram and other social networking accounts (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Accounts’) operated by Kamakura Ethical Lab (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Organisation’) are used by the Organisation to communicate with you. The following community guidelines (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Guidelines’) have been established for the purpose of realising better communication with you. Our organisation will utilise social media* while placing importance on ‘co-creation with society’.
To this end, we will use social media in accordance with the following basic policy, taking full account of the changing values of society.
All people associated with our organisation will not make statements that are detrimental to the interests of our organisation and our stakeholders.
Social media refers to all services on the internet with interactive information transmission functions, such as social networking services (SNS), blogs, electronic noticeboards and community sites.

Points to note when using social media

When using social media, we will be fully aware of the following characteristics and the magnitude of their impact.
Information transmitted on social media will be accessed by an unspecified number of users.
It is almost impossible to completely delete information once it has been transmitted.
Information transmitted, whether true or not, has the potential to propagate and expand at an explosive rate.
The impact of posts and postings is not limited to social media, but could develop into a social phenomenon.

2. considerations when using social media
When using social media for personal use, the following points are stipulated to be taken into account and made known to employees. Similarly, separate rules are also in place when collecting and disseminating information via official accounts.
We do not contravene laws and regulations, our corporate philosophy and code of conduct. It also does not give rise to the misunderstanding that it does so.
Always remember the risk of unintentional disclosure of company names and names.
Do not write anything relating to confidential information.
Do not post information relating to the privacy or confidential information of consumers, business partners, etc., which you have acquired in the course of your work.
Do not post defamatory statements about other people or posts that infringe their rights.
Do not use logos, trademarks or images of commercial personalities without permission.
Do not make statements that could damage the organisation's brand value.
