What is ethical consumption?
Refers to consumption behaviour based on ethical and moral values.
It refers to purchases (products and services) made with consideration for people, communities, animals, society and the global environment. Ethical consumption starts with small choices in the daily life of each individual and brings positive change to society and the future.With a focus on fair trade, the Kamakura Ethical Lab aims to encourage various people and companies involved in Kamakura to casually practise ethical consumption in their daily lives and work towards a better society and future.
Main initiatives.

Organisation of events and marches in Kamakura to communicate fair trade to a wide range of generations.

Collaboration with many activities that communicate approaches to solving social issues other than ethical consumption, such as community revitalisation

Helping to increase the number of opportunities and places where ethical products and services can be bought.

Activities to link ethical consumption with nature such as the sea and mountains, and with history and culture such as temples and shrines.
